trashed it! Virginia Beach “after-the-day” trash the dress Session.

So, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson (whose wedding I photographed last July) decided to spend their 1 year anniversary with me… how nice.:)I assume it was mainly because they have been talking about doing a trash the dress session since their wedding last year… but I also like to think it is because I’m just pretty cool. ha ha. I am so glad they drove back to Virginia Beach for the day though, because we got some amazing photos… it was so nice seeing you guys again! What are we going to do for your second anniversary? (just kidding!!!) I hope you love the photos as much as I do…

Here are a few of my favorites from the day…

Also, thanks to Miss Katie (who is my intern… and whom you will be hearing more about soon on here!) for helping me out that day and being willing to hold my reflector in knee deep water…:)

Mrs. Smith! Norfolk Bridal Portrait Photography.

Lindsay officially became Mrs. Smith Saturday, so I can post her bridals on here now… (i get so excited to post them… it’s hard waiting!!!). Originally we had planned on somewhere outdoors for her bridals… but when the heat wave came along, she was able to pull some strings (since her reception was being held at the Harrison Opera House) to get us into Chrysler Hall in downtown Norfolk for her photos… which turned out to have PERFECT light at the exact time we were there… and her dress is pretty amazing as well.

Be on the lookout for the wedding ones soon. They are pretty awesome.

Sara&Larry. Virginia Beach Portrait Photography. Engagement Session.

So, I went a tad but image crazy on this post… I just couldn’t decide on which ones to use… so, I decided on a ton. (In reality, I literally could have used all of them… they photograph so well it’s ridiculous… can’t wait for the wedding pictures!) We met up near the bay in Virginia Beach… one of their favorite places (and it just so happens to one of mine as well… guess that happens when Sara and I went to the same high school… same stomping grounds) and took a bunch of photos. They were all for the candids… (my kind of people)… so I got a ton of shots I loved.
Here are a few of my favorites from the day… (be sure to check back in October for their wedding photos… it’s going to be gor-ge-ous!)
Congrats you guys… can’t wait for the wedding!

Lorin&Billy. Virginia Beach Portrait Photography. Engagement Session.

Lorin and Billy are getting married down in North Carolina in late September… but our schedules finally just matched up to fit in their engagement session. They drove up here from just over the border in North Carolina so we could get some indoor shots (Hello, heat wave 2010… you are causing issues with my scheduling. Thank you for the break in 110 degree temperatures. I appreciate it.) but it wound up being pretty nice outside so we shot some around outdoors as well… I have to say for not getting your photos taken since Elementary School… you guys did pretty well!:)
Here are a few of my favorites from the day… Can’t wait for your big day!

op lovin’ it. norfolk photography.

So, being a Navy brat AND a Navy wife… I decided being a photographer for oplove was def a thing I needed to do once I started my photography business back here in Virginia Beach. Unfortunately, I don’t get to do too many OpLove shoots these days because I am so busy, so I am always so excited when I get the chance to do one. I had to take my name off of the actual list, but I am still an associated photographer- so if you or someone you know are interested… let me know! I just couldn’t field all of the requests I was getting through the website anymore…

I was so excited to be able to capture these memories, because in a weird turn of events, I actually wound up knowing this family who had contacted me through a referral from someone else… I walked down the aisle with her husband in my best friend’s wedding… small world, I tell ya, small world. Either way… I am always so honored and happy to be there for these moments… there is always so much happiness and love and you can’t help but get these awesome emotion filled shots.

Welcome home, guys…
here are a few of my favorite shots from the day!
